Bale (right) will not be donning the trademark black mock turtleneck after all.

4 Nov Not even two weeks after the news of his confirmation to play the part of Steve Jobs in the Apple co-founder's upcoming biopic made waves, Christian Bale has now reportedly left the project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Dark Knight" actor decided to withdraw when he came to the conclusion that he was not right for the part.

Previously, it was "The Social Network" screenwriter Aaron Sorkin who revealed Bale's 'non-audition' casting in the biopic, stating that Bale was "the best actor" for it.

This marks the second time a big star has turned down the role, as another Hollywood heavyweight, Leonardo DiCaprio, also had reportedly passed on it before Bale for a different movie.

"Slumdog Millionaire" director Danny Boyle will be meeting his cast this week, but with Bale's departure, his plans to start the production this coming winter might be affected.

Fans of Bale who are disappointed he won't be donning the trademark get up of black turtleneck and blue jeans after all, can at least see the actor dressed in togas and sandals as Moses in Ridley Scott's "Exodus: Gods and Kings", to be released by the end of the year in U.S. and Singapore while Malaysia will not see its release.
