It's not the end for "Snow White And The Huntsman"

Is there going to be another apple to bite for Snow White?

10 June – Considering the commercial success of their latest release, "Snow White And The Huntsman", it is not surprising that Universal Studios is going ahead with their plans for a sequel to the gritty British-American fairy tale, and that preparations have already begun.

According to Deadline, the studio already has "Mission: Impossible" and "Jurassic Park" screenwriter David Koepp working on a script for the sequel, and have begun talks for director Rupert Sanders to return to the director's chair, who is most likely to return seeing how well his debut feature has done in the box office.

It is not mentioned whether Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron would be reprising their roles as Snow White, the Huntsman and Queen Ravenna respectively, although the option is very much open to them.

According to the latest takings from Box Office Mojo, "Snow White and the Huntsman" had already passed the US$100 million mark, with a standing of US$118 million worldwide as of 6 June, and has spellbound audiences in Malaysia and Singapore.

News of sequel only confirmed what producer Joe Roth had stated previously; that "Snow White And The Huntsman" was the kick-starter of a trilogy, a la "Lord of the Rings" style, back when production had not even begun.

"This story will end, but there will be questions remaining for these three characters," he said.

How is the sequel going to pick up where the "Snow White and the Huntsman" left off remains to be seen.
