Disney and Marvel's "Big Hero 6" reveals first footage.

Don Hall of "Winnie The Pooh" is set to direct.

10 May – Last July, it was announced that Disney, Pixar and Marvel's first ever collaboration will be the manga-style superhero film "Big Hero 6", which was announced last July, and first footage from the movie is now available online!

Don Hall, an avid comic reader who directed "Winnie The Pooh", will adapt the "Big Hero 6" stories created for Marvel by Steven T. Seagle and Duncan Rouleau.

Hall and his team have been hard at work on the upcoming movie, which is set to hit US cinemas on 7 November 2014. No set date yet for our local theatres.

In the first footage, viewers can see the concept art for the film itself. "The storytelling aspects are very frenetic and very visceral," says Joe Quesada, Marvel's chief creative officer, "It takes tropes of Japanese culture, manga, anime. There are giant dinosaurs that invade a city, big robots, youth fashion, and cutesy stuff in the vein of Hello Kitty."

The story is set in the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo with brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada finding himself in the grips of a criminal plot. With the help of his closest companion, a robot named Baymax, Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of first-time crime fighters on a mission to save their city.
