BM-dubbed "Transformers 4", "How to Train Your Dragon 2" air this Raya

1 Jul – Michael Bay's 2014 blockbuster "Transformers: Age of Extinction" has received its very own Malay-dubbed treatment and it's coming to the small screen this Hari Raya.

"This is the first time HBO Asia, together with Astro, is dubbing a live action movie in local language," said Astro English Language Business senior assistant vice president, Junaidah Said Khan, as quoted by New Straits Times Online.

The movie is voiced by celebrities from Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, including Fahrin Ahmad as Cade Yeager, Singaporean Hisyam Hamid as Optimus Prime, Sharnaaz Ahmad as Galvatron, Radio ERA DJs Ray and Haniff Hamzah as Hound and Ratchet, Izzue Islam as Drift, Ahmad as Crosshairs, Hazama Ahmad as Lockdown and Nabil Ahmad as Brains.

Rounding up the voice cast are Faizal Ismail as Joshua Joyce, Ayai Illusi as Harold Attinger, Ayda Jebat as Tessa Yeager, Syafiq Kyle as Shane Dyson, Syazwan Zulkifly as James Savoy, Scha Al-Yahya as Darcy Tirrel, Elizabeth Tan as Su Yueming and Bruneian singer Fakhrul Razi as Lucas Flannery.

Another 2014 movie that was recently dubbed in Malay is the animated sequel "How to Train Your Dragon 2", with winner of Akademi Fantasia 7 Mohd Hafiz Bin Mohd Suip, singer-actress Sasha Saidin, voice talent Hafizudin Fadzil, Mix FM DJ Prem Shanker and Astro Quest Third Runner-up Yuii Chan lending their voices to the movie.

Other movies that have been dubbed in Malay before include 2013 movies "The Smurfs 2", "Frozen" and "Planes".

The Malay-dubbed "Transformers: Age of Extinction" will premiere at 9pm on Astro's HBO and HBO HD channels on 17 July, while the Malay-dubbed "How to Train Your Dragon 2" airs on FOX Movies Premium and FOX Movies Premium HD from 18 July 2015.
