27 Mar - Taiwanese director Ang Lee has been named Provincetown International Film Festival's "Filmmaker on the Edge" this year.
As reported on Indiewire, the festival director, Andrew Peterson stated that it has been a long dream of PIFF to honour the "Life Of Pi" director with the award for his "beautiful artistry, remarkable versatility, and towering command of craft".
"2016 is the year that dream comes true. We are thrilled to celebrate him and his already legendary career," Peterson added.
Previous recipients of the award include directors Quentin Tarantino, David Cronenberg, and Darren Aronofsky.
Lee, who is currently working on his next feature film, "Billy Lunn's Long Halftime Walk", will be attending the event in June to accept his award.
