Date Posted: 30 August 2017

Before starring as Robin Hood, Taron Egerton will first appear in "Kingsman: The Golden Circle".

30 Aug – The release date for Taron Egerton-starrer "Robin Hood: Origins" has been pushed back by Lionsgate for six months.

The movie, starring Egerton as the titular famed outlaw, will now be opening on 21 September 2018 in North American cinemas opposite Sony's family-friendly sequel "Goosebumps 2", as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Helmed by Otto Bathurst with Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson Killoran, Basil Iwanyk, Tory Tunnel and Joby Harold as producers, the film will show Robin Hood's audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown.

Starring alongside the "Kingsman: The Secret Service" breakout star is Jamie Foxx ("Baby Driver") as Little John, Eve Hewson ("Bridge of Spies") as Maid Marian and Jamie Dornan ("Fifty Shades of Grey") as Will Scarlett.

The studio also revealed a few other 2018 releases, including Summit Entertainment/Codeblack Films' "Traffik" on 27 April. The thriller helmed by Deon Taylor will star Paula Patton as investigative journalist Brea Stephens, who is being pursued by a gang after a chance encounter on a romantic getaway with her boyfriend.

Kyrie Irving as his elderly alter ego "Uncle Drew", as seen in the Pepsi commercials.

"Uncle Drew", which is based on a series of Pepsi commercials featuring NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving, will open on 29 June 2018 opposite "Tag", "I Feel Pretty" and "Sicario 2: Soldado". The sports comedy will star "Get Out" LilRel Howery as Dax, who has to convince the legendary Uncle Drew (to be played by Irving) to return to the court one more time.

The movie will also feature "Survivor's Remorse" star Erica Ash, with appearance from former NBA stars Shaquille O'Neal, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller and Nate Robinson, as well as WNBA's Lisa Leslie.

12 October 2018 will see the opening of CBS and Lionsgate's "Hellfest", a horror flick by Gregory Plotkin on a costumed killer who goes on a killing rampage on Halloween night. It will open opposite Universal's biopic of Neil Armstrong titled "First Man".

A title change for the upcoming "Tyler Perry's She's Living My Life" starring Taraji P. Henson is also announced with it being retitled to "Tyler Perry's Acrimony". No change has been made to its release date and it will open opposite "God's Not Dead 3" and Steven Spielberg "Ready Player One" on 30 March 2018.
