30 Oct – Donnie Yen recently stated that he was as surprised as anybody about the sudden release of the second part of his 2014 movie, "Iceman 3D".
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who was asked about the movie "Iceman: Time Traveller" releasing in China early November, stated that he has no idea that the producers are releasing the movie on the said date.
"It was filmed a long time ago. I don't even remember it. I was also not informed of the release date," he said.
Donnie added that there is a possibility that he will not participate in the promotional event as he will be busy filming his new movie in New Zealand.
"I was informed about it too late," he said.
It is noted that the first movie, which co-stars Eva Huang and Wang Baoqiang, received a lacklustre response from critics alike when it was released in 2014.
The two-part movie is a remake of the 1989 kung fu fantasy, "The Iceman Cometh", starring Yuen Biao and Maggie Cheung.
