Ken Jeong, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Chris Parnell join the "Goosebumps" sequel.

6 Mar – Ken Jeong, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Chris Parnell are all added to the ensemble cast of the "Goosebumps" sequel entitled "Goosebumps: Horror Land".

Variety reported that the three are new additions to the recently announced casting of Caleel Harris, Madison Iseman, Ben O'Brien, and Jeremy Ray Taylor.

Jeong who rose to fame for his performance as Leslie Chow in "The Hangover" trilogy will be appearing in "Crazy Rich Asians" which is slated to open on 17 August this year.


McLendon-Covey, most notable for her role in "Bridesmaids", is currently starring in the sitcom "The Goldbergs" which is already on its fifth season on the American television network ABC.

Parnell on the other hand, was last seen in last year's "Battle of the Sexes" alongside Steve Carell and will be appearing in "Life of the Party" this May.


Slappy will be back to haunt you come 12 October this year.

"Goosebumps: Horror Land" will act as a sequel to the 2015 hit "Goosebumps" which starred Jack Black as R. L. Stine who is rumored to reprise his role as the American writer.

"Goosebumps" which is based on Stine's children's horror novels is about a group of teenagers trying to stop demons and evil creatures that came to life from Stine's collection of horror stories.

Ari Sandel who is most known for his directorial debut, "The DUFF", will helm the director's chair replacing Rob Letterman who directed the first movie.

Plot details of "Goosebumps: Horror Land" have not been revealed yet, but the movie is slated to be released on 12 October this year.

The first "Goosebumps" movie was a critical smash with mostly positive reviews and garnered over USD 150 million worldwide.
