27 Nov– Although she had not succeeded in winning Best Actress at the recently held Golden Horse Awards, Malaysian actress Angelica Lee Sinje stated that she doesn't see it as a total loss.

As reported on The Epoch Times, the actress, who appeared at a press conference of her new movie, "The Garden of Evening Mists", alongside mentor and co-star Sylvia Chang, stated that being nominated itself was an affirmation to her, having been a Golden Horse jury herself.

"Whether I win or not depends on the perspective of the judges. I don't consider it a loss. From getting pregnant, giving birth, and then to be offered this role, it has been such a blessing," she said.

Angelica lost the Best Actress accolade to fellow Malaysian actress Yeo Yann Yann, who won for her role in Singaporean director Anthony Chen's film, "Wet Season".

Although Angelica didn't win it this year, it is noted that the actress has won before back in 2002 for her role in The Pang Brothers' movie, "The Eye". She was also nominated again for the said award in 2006 for her role in another Pang Brothers' film, "Re-cycle".
