Hungarian Film Fiesta in Malaysia returns for second year!

17 Jun – The Hungarian Film Fiesta which made its debut last year is now back for the second year running this June 2019!

Now known as the 2019 Hungarian Film Fiesta 2.0., the event will extend its reach beyond Kuala Lumpur as it brings screenings to Penang and Sarawak this year.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Hungary and Malaysia, 2019's edition will screen 4 award-winning titles with a total of 16 free screenings for film festival fans to enjoy and learn more about Hungarian films, culture and the country itself.

That's not all, Malaysian singer, actor, and entertainer, Mugen Rao, has been enlisted by the Hungarian embassy to collaborate with the fiesta this year, and their partnership will be revealed this 20 June 2019 at the opening event, where Cinema Online is also the media partner.

What does Mugen Rao has planned for the 2019 Hungarian Film Fiesta 2.0.?

Movie tickets for the 2019 Hungarian Film Fiesta 2.0. are free, and are redeemable via presenting any printouts or social media snapshots of articles about the event (including this one!) at the box office counters of GSC Pavilion KL, GSC Gurney Plaza, Penang and GSC CityOne Megamall, Kuching from 17 June onwards, while stocks last.

Do note that each article publication or snapshot photo will entitle one person to redeem two free tickets for the same movie, up to 4 tickets per person, on a first-come, first served basis from 11.00 a.m. onwards.

The following are the dates of the 2019 Hungarian Film Fiesta 2.0.; GSC Pavilion KL (June 21 – 23, 2019), GSC Gurney Plaza (June 29 & 30) and GSC CityOne Megamall, Kuching (July 6 & 7).
