"Bohemian Rhapsody" takes home most awards at Oscars 2019

"Bohemian Rhapsody" star Rami Malek accepting his Best Actor award.

25 Feb - The Oscars just might be the biggest annual awards ceremony and the most widely known around the globe.

Unfortunately, unlike previous years, most of its Southeast Asian viewers (with the exception of Thailand) didn't get to view the broadcast live from Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles, this year.

Worry not, we've compiled the full winners list so you can still stay abreast of the Oscar wins.

Starting off, this year's biggest winner (if counting by number of wins) is "Bohemian Rhapsody", nabbing four of the five awards it was nominated for.

Aside from Best Picture, the Queen movie won Best Actor, Best Film Editing, Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing.

Meanwhile, the coveted Best Picture went to "Green Book", which won three out of the five categories it was competing in. It also took home Best Supporting Actor for Mahershala Ali and Best Screenplay for Nick Vallelonga, Brian Currie and Peter Farrelly.

Similarly, "Black Panther", though not winning Best Picture (still very historical to even be nominated), won three awards out of five. It won Best Original Score, Best Costume Design, and Best Production Design.

Unfortunately for "The Favourite", while the movie reigned with 10 nominations alongside "Roma", its only win is Best Actress for Olivia Colman.

As for "Roma", it went home with three wins: Best Cinematography and Best Directing for Alfonso Cuarón, as well as Best Foreign Language Film.

Fan favourite "A Star Is Born" only managed to nab the Best Original Song award with "Shallow", not winning any of its seven other nominations.
