"Bikers Kental" is a film that need to be watched by all motorcycle fans. As cinematographer Helmi Yusof's directorial debut, the film does not disappoint.
Centring on the new concept of "a road movie in Malaysia", the director is obviously a fan of high-powered motorcycles who managed to combine a good story and his hobby to make for an interesting watch.
Some strong points of the film are the strong acting from the cast, particularly Zizan Razak, who as usual, does not disappoint and makes the audience laugh with his antics. Praise should also be given to Awie, Bront Palarae, Zul Ariffin, Harun Salim Bachik, Amerul Affendi and Sufian Mohamed, who carry out their characters effectively.
Interestingly, the film also sees two actresses from Thailand, which are Pornwipa Watcharakaroon and Julangtip Sukkasem.
The film tells the story of Bidin, a young man who dreams of travelling around the world on a high-powered motorcycle to attend 'Bike Week' but unfortunately, he cannot afford one. His dreams become a reality when he finds a bag containing a huge amount of money. Bidin immediately uses the money to buy a Aprilia RSV4 Factory motorcycle and offers himself to go on a convoy with Eddie's motorcycle gang. Their journey takes them from Kuala Lumpur to Krabi, Thailand, and along the way, tragedies and conflicts happen.
In conclusion, "Bikers Kental" is a must watch film by all audiences!Cinema Online, 29 May 2013
