GSC Gurney Plaza commenced business on 15 January 2004, and is GSC's second flagship cinema after the 18-screen GSC Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur. Also known to be the largest multiplex in Penang and the northern region, GSC Gurney Plaza is also the first multiplex in the north with THX-certified halls, a 80-seater premiere class hall and the International Screens feature to cater to the discerning needs of movie fans.
