TGV Sunway Pyramid, which first opened in 1997, had in mid-2011 commenced a major refurbishment and upon its completion in December 2011, collapsed two halls to introduce a new IMAX theatre hall with a 57-feet wide screen and a seating capacity of 292. The refurbished Cineplex also depicts a much more contemporary design and apart from the IMAX hall, has three other new halls such as The Club; a premier hall, The Beanieplex; a beanbag seating style hall, and The Tiered-Seating halls; which are halls that offer different seating options.
