The Good, the Bad and the Local Hero

The first two films of the local superhero had famous local comedian Saiful Apek as the main character but for the third film, director Yusry Abdul Halim and Ghaz Abu Bakar decided to use another renowned Malaysian comedian, Zizan Razak as the main lead.

Though the film serves as a reboot to the "Cicakman" franchise, it is also acts kind of like the continuation from the first and second film, where the initial Cicakman had retired from his heroic works while Zizan picks up thereafter.

Previously, "Cicakman 2" was said to have a heavier plotline compared to the first movie, which is why the director decided to bring back the original action-comedy genre for the third film.

The film is definitely a must-watch family film as it brings tears to your eyes in a good way because the hilarity and funny moments will tickle your funny bones. Plus, in the third film, a new superhero named Superbro played by Fizz Fairuz is introduced.

For the previous two films, the CGI had looked fake and messy, but the third film was praised for its improved and realistic-looking CGI animation created by local animation artists. Furthermore, the Superbro costume worn by Fizz Fairuz may be comparable to the international superhero costumes. After all, both the Superbro and Cicakman costumes cost around RM100,000 to make.

• The moment when actor Bell Ngasri is 'pierced' by Superbro.
