Apart from the fact that Charlize Theron is a babe and looks steaming hot in her black leather suit, this film had little else to thread on in order to call it a fantastic movie. It's good enough yes, but the best description for "Aeon Flux" would be 'so-so'. It's watchable, but in all efforts, remains regrettably forgettable as well.

The story is set somewhere in the far future where 99% of the earth's population has been wiped out due to some mysterious disease and the last human colony now lives in a walled-up city known as Bregna. Ruling Bregna is the Goodchild Regime, headed by Chairman Trevor Goodchild (Marton Csokas), a scientist who lives a very reclusive and secret life away from the very society he created.

In the midst of this seemingly perfect society is an underground group of rebels known as the Monicans. Most valuable of the Monican operative is Aeon Flux (Charlize Theron) who believes that the Goodchild regime is oppressing the people and when her sister was killed by the Goodchild regime, Aeon declares war on Trevor Goodchild, vowing that she would get her revenge.

Action-wise, "Aeon Flux" delivers enough heart-thumping stunts and firepower in order to keep its foot in the label. Aeon herself dishes out most of the hand-to-hand combats and energetic acrobatic routine throughout the film be it from running through a deadly garden or a one-on-one fight with her enemies. Anyone who likes to watch a beautiful woman kick ass will find their fill in this movie.

The world that the filmmakers built for "Aeon Flux" gave the film a 'comic book' quality to it. Surreal and aesthetic in a way, it remains lost in the mediocrity of the movie and when the credits roll in the end, chances are, you won't remember it anymore.
