'Namaste London' is a cross-cultural romantic comedy about an Indian and a Pakistani family in London. Jasmeet "Jazz" Kaur is an Indian girl born and bred in London. She loves all that is British, enjoying the late night partying clubs with her Pakistani friend Imran (Upen Patel) and his English girlfriend Suzanne. She is also attracted to Charlie Brown (Clive Standen) who is thrice married and divorced!

Unhappy to see his daughter behaving this way, Manmohan Singh (Rishi Kapoor) tricks Jasmeet into going to India for a vacation - so that she can get hitched to a suitable Indian boy of his choice. Daddy sets his eyes on Arjun (Akshay Kumar), a village boy from Punjab. Arjun falls for Jazz as soon as he lays eyes on her but she is put off by the deceit and sees him as just a typical villager.

Left with no choice, she marries him. However, when they return to London, she refuses to acknowledge the marriage and continues her relationship with Charlie Brown. Arjun is shattered but he plays along. He hopes to win Jazz's heart by making her realise that love is not possessive. In the process, some ugly truths about her British lad are revealed.

Imran (Upen Patel), on the other hand, is a Pakistani guy who is living with his girlfriend, Suzanne. His conservative father Parvez (Javed Sheikh) disapproves and banishes him from the family home. This is another 'happily ever after' tale that is quite predictable from the start. Many poignant issues are raised, including how traditional Asians adapt to the ways of the west, how the Indian culture is mocked by the British and the sacrifices one makes for the sake of their loved ones.

Katrina Kaif looks mesmerising and Akshay delivers a commendable performance, both in his comedy and emotional scenes. The pair display an amazing chemistry and look good together. Rishi Kapoor and the rest of the cast all deliver noteworthy efforts.

The music by Himesh Reshamiya is entertaining and it goes well with the story but fails to stick with you. Overall, director Vipul Amrutlal Shah and cinematographer Amitabh Shukla have worked together well to bring out an entertaining and emotional romantic flick. The movie is for those who appreciate a good sense of humour accompanied by a meaningful love story.
