Watch this if you liked: “Jab We Met”, “Khushi” & “Serendipity”

Many would be surprise to know that this film was completed back in 2005 but due to numerous reasons, it had to be delayed. Last year, after the lead pair agreed to be dubbed, the film saw some light but director Satish Kaushik was still not convinced. In the end, "Milenge Milenge" might have never seen the light of cinema halls if it was not for the efforts put in by producer Boney Kapoor, who decided to release the film in 2010 somehow.

Unfortunately, all the efforts placed were quite wasted. The film is not only badly written but is completely dated in its approach. It has a set full of stereotyped characters which would have not worked even back in 2005. It falls completely short on any expectations that audiences may have in mind. Also, there is not much humour in the dialogues and characters.

"Milenge Milenge" (We will meet, we will meet again) has a storyline similar to Hollywood's "Serendipity" (2001). The film is a decade late and a dollar short for it portrays lack of emotion and is quite dated when it comes to the cinemas of recent times. It transports one back to the same old stories, where all that a film portrayed was a naive heroine, the lover boy hero, and their outwardly friendly and helpful comrades. "Milenge Milenge" not only lags behind the times in terms of story and concept, but is absolutely outmoded in terms of screenplay, music, acting and direction. For its songs, Himesh Reshammiya's music also does not click because it's quite old fashioned.

Fortunately for the audience, Bangkok looks beautiful as the city is captured wonderfully and is a fitting backdrop for a star-crossed romance. Kareena and Shahid do look good together, however the sizzling chemistry between the lead pair during "Jab We Met" is sorely missing.

Overall, "Milenge Milenge" is a love-to-be-forgotten tale for both the makers and the audience. Watch it only if you dig the Shahid-Kareena pairing, which re-defined the word chemistry in their last film.
