"Anjaana Anjaani", translated as 'unknown strangers', begins with Akash (Ranbhir Kapoor) who was a successful stock market businessman after losing a huge sum of money due to the economic downturn, which resulted in the closure of his company. Kiara (Priyanka Chopra) on the flip side, discovered that her childhood boyfriend of 15 years had cheated on her. Tired with their failed lives, they both decide to commit suicide and coincidently chose the same location for it - the George Washington Bridge, New York.

After failing to do so, both ended up in hospital and decide to give suicide a try again. They head to Kiara's house to hatch a plan, but to their dismay, their plans keep failing. After much thought, they realise that it's a sign to say it's not their time yet and they set a date to finally jump from the same bridge again, with the decision to enjoy the last day of their lives. Thus, begin their adventurous and hilarious journey together.

Priyanka Chopra hands down is the show stealer of this film with her witty lines and natural ability to act, while Ranbhir Kapoor's performance was satisfactory. However, without his manly beard, he suddenly appears too young for the actress. Regardless of that, there's no doubt that the chemistry between them on screen is fiery and sizzling. Moreover, Zayed Kapoor makes a cameo appearance here as well.

The plot is predictable; however praise should be given to the presentation of characters as they breathe life to the simple story. The first half was filled with humorous gags, while the second half takes on a more serious approach. With less humour, it formed some pretty dull and draggy moments that fortunately picks up as it reaches toward the end.

The cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran is reminiscent of "Kal Ho Na Ho" and "Dostana", and the background shot of New York City and Las Vegas provides a truly different feel that is great to the story. Enjoy wonderful songs by music director Vishal-Shekar namely "Aas Pass Khuda" as it is very meaningful and "I Feel Good" as it's the catchiest of all with a nice dance tune.

"Anjaana Anjaani" has everything going for it: good performances by the two leads, catchy songs and background music, a simple yet absorbing story and of course, terrific moments for its emotional as well as humorous scenes.
