Watch this if you liked: "Next Three Days", "Get Carter", "The Departed"

"London Boulevard" is a movie about an ex-convict played by Colin Farrell who tries to make a honest earning but is led back to the world he left behind to protect an upcoming starlet played by Keira Keira Knightley. Directed by "The Departed" writer William Monahan who also writes the screenplay for the movie, many will not know that the movie is actually adapted from a novel of the same name.

The reviewer feels that the plot of "London Boulevard" has great potential, but is perplexed with the lack of extension between some of the existing subplot and the character development for the supporting cast which contributes to the downfall of the movie.

The performance of Colin Farrell as an ex-con is rather convincing and the same could be said to Keira Knightley as both Colin and Keira played their roles to perfection. Ray Winstone is ever convincing as the mobster head with his thick British accent similar to his previous role in "Edge Of Darkness".

"London Boulevard" is no doubt an action packed drama; so do give it a go only if you're drawn to these types of movies.
