"I'm very confused and things are getting complicated." These are the exact words the lead hero utters in the film after falling in love with his brother's to be bride. Well you would not want be to be in that situation so thankfully this film explores this for you through the love between the hero and heroine in "Meri Brother Ki Dulhan".

"Meri Brother Ki Dulhan" "My Brother's Bride" is about Luv (Ali Zafar) from London who has lost faith with dating, due to a recent breakup with his long-term girlfriend Piyali (Tara D'Souza). He calls up his younger brother Kush (Imran Khan) in Delhi to help him find a bride. Accepting the task, Kush returns back to his hometown in search for all the possible brides. After placing up several ads, finally Kush gets an invitation from a well-known family, who also wants their daughter Dimple (Katrina Kaif) to be wed as well.

Rewind 5 years back, Dimple was the same girl Kush met during a college trip and from his perception, Dimple is a modern, open-minded and down to earth girl, but there is a wild side to her as well. Kush sees the good side and accepts Dimple as his brother's bride-to-be. By the time Luv returns from London, Dimple however has started to develop feelings for Kush and she even confessed to him on the engagement day. To find out what happens next, watch the film for its funny twist of an ending.

The film borrows its storylines and scenes from previous Bollywood films and songs, therefore it looks very predictable in the first half. As the story flows forward, thankfully the creative writing and dialogues gives the second half something fresh and different. Imran Khan does an ok job but it looked like he was more of newbie in his dance routines, while Ali Zafar gives a good supporting role. The real heart of the film would be Katrina Kaif, who gave a solid performance for the first time and not just as an eye candy like her previous films.

The cinematography comprising of the Taj Mahal, Agra and other scenic locations of India, are well shot. Sohail Sen provides melodious songs for the film. The title song by "KK" and also the song "Dungki" by Neha Bhasin are very catchy. It is played throughout the film as a background score so audience will still have the tune in their mind after leaving the cinema.

Overall, the film is a heartening, feel-good entertainer and surely a treat for Katrina's fans, as it will be an experience to witness her talent. Oh and also, John Abraham makes a very brief appearance in the film. Which part? Well, that's for you to find out. Go watch.
