The Good, the Bad and it's all about Puppy Love

If you're stepping into the cinema thinking the movie will just be another cliche local rom-com with the same old, boring formula, then be prepared to be proven wrong. This writer was of the same opinion until he finds himself with his eyes glued to the screen and laughing out loud with everyone else in the audience.

Despite having no comedian in the lineup, the slapstick routines carried out by the actors manage to transform the scenes and make them funnier. Wan Hasliza's latest directorial effort is definitely of good quality, even if presented in a very laidback way.

The movie owns its success in no small way to the stellar cast, which includes the likes of Farid Kamil, Nadiya Nisaa, Zain Hamid, Anne Ngasri and Rita Rudaini. The dialogues thrown around in the movie are by no means short, however, they prove to be more entertaining than boring.

Bringing audiences along on the main characters' life journey of 20 years, full of ups and downs, the movie manages to tell a story that resonates well with its audiences, who mostly would have encountered similar tales of puppy love, graduation, job interviews and married life in their own lives.

Look Out For

Nadiya Nisaa's character in high school.
