"Lemak Kampung Santan" is the latest film produced by Tall Order Productions, owned by Hans Isaac, who also acted and directed for the film.

At the beginning, the reviewer thought that this would be like any other romantic comedy made in the past because the plot for these types of stories are rather cliche.

However, the perception that this film is like any other was proven wrong. If fact, the reviewer could not guess what came next and he enjoyed the creative ideas spun by the director to make twits and turns for the plot.

There is little to wonder why it took so long to produce such a film, which started shooting in 2011, as the film's post-production took more than a year to complete. In fact, CGI was even used in the making of this film.

"Lemak Kampong Santan" tells the story of Ridzuan (played by Hans Isaac), an urban youngster who is an architect for a renowned company based in the capital. He also has the love of his life by the name of Sofia (played by Natasha Hudson) who works in the same company. The pair is aided by Badrul (played by Khir Rahman) and he is in charge of a project to develop a resort at Kampung Santan.

Tiqa (Neelofa), daughter of Pak Wan (Harum Salim Bachik), works as a 'nasi lemak' seller in Kampung Santan. While not intentional, Ridzuan meets with Tiqa and romance between them bloomed.

Acting wise, perhaps you will have already known the level of talent and quality the cast has and thus, no elaboration would be needed. Although this is the first time Hans Isaac is paired up with Neelofa, the pair gave a great performance and so did the rest of the cast as they carried their roles well.

For the cinematography, the reviewer applauds the director as every shot made this film far more distinct than that of other films. Combined with the CGI techniques used, it makes this film a step up from other films of the same genre.

The film, that was given a creative touch by the director, has successfully changed the reviewer's perception of romantic comedies. It is an excellent film and is on a level of its own in the romantic comedy genre.
