Kingsman: The Secret Service

Kingsman: The Secret Service

Based on a comic book by Mark Millar, this British spy film follows a veteran agent Harry Hart (Colin Firth) working for an independent international intelligence agency operating at the highest level of descretion, who then takes in a younger colleague under his wing into a world of espionage. The new protege is Eggsy (Taron Egerton), who is a little rough around the edges and this too includes his manners.

The Good, the Bad and the Kingly:
"Kingsman: The Secret Service" is so slick, stylish and British that one would almost think that this was a Guy Ritchie film, but director Matthew Vaughn has cultivated a niche of his own for the not often enough explored spy comedy genre. The best part of the movie aside from its James Bond-esque action scenes, is its largely British cast comprising of the charmingly stern Colin Firth, sinister Mark Strong, wise Michael Caine and witty Samuel L. Jackson (representing the American market of course) that work together so well on screen with bristling newcomer Taron Egerton, who has the make to become Hollywood's next action star (heck, he might even be a future James Bond!).

With a young lead paving the way for the well-timed entertaining plot, don't expect this to be a mellow spy movie as there are plenty of swearing, extreme violence, some sexual content and alcohol consumption too, which gives the movie that extra punch for it to be a truly gritty dark comedy that's full of surprises.

Now, the question is.. Will there be a sequel? Cause if there is, then sign us up!
