The Good, the Bad and the Remade Drishyam:

• The movie does not differ much from its successor but this remake does not hold a candle to the original.

• It is moderately entertaining, though with some conflicting character arc (take Tabu for instance who is introduced as a strong character but somehow devolves into a meek and emotionally ruined character).

• The cast, while they do a good job with their roles, was still unable to help much with the movie's overall feel. Some of them even end up forgettable as they do not contribute much to moving the story forward.

Trivia:

• The movie is a remake of Jeethu Joseph's 2013 Malayalam film "Drishyam", which was also remade in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil under different titles.
