After the events of the first movie, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles return for yet another mission in New York City, but this time with a new vigilante in their midst, Casey Jones. They must stop supervillain Shredder, who has escaped custody and joined forces with mad scientist Baxter Stockman and two dimwitted henchmen, Bebop and Rocksteady, to unleash a diabolical plan to take over the world. Watch this if you liked: “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”

The Good, the Bad and the Half-Shell Heroes:

The group of wise-cracking vigilantes are back in another action-packed adventure that seems to be slightly better than its predecessor, but still not good enough to compete with all the other superhero movies that we've seen this year.

Like the first film, "Out of the Shadows" is excellent when it comes to the CGI and sound effects as they've improved tremendously, not to mention that the action scenes are decent, solid and just top-notch Cowabunga!

However, the plot of the whole film is really not that exciting. Everything seems to be all over the place - it is messier, longer and louder than the first film, and that is definitely not good as it makes everything even more confusing than it already is.

Though the story itself is haphazardly plotted, at least the turtles are fun to watch, even the two new villain characters are also very entertaining with their sense of humour, and it is at least something that viewers can actually look forward to.

Kids might favour this movie more than adults, as they'll be in not for the story, but more for a fun and exciting ride with the mutant turtles!

Trivia:

• Fred Armisen was originally meant to voice Kraang.
