Watch this if you liked: "Anak Mami the Movie" and "Nana Tanjung"

The Good, the Bad and the "Nasi Kandar":

It is undeniable that "Anak Mami" is considered as one of the most popular film franchises in Malaysia, and there was even a time when the film became a huge phenomenon in the country, boosting the status of every anak mami in Penang.

It has been almost a decade since "Nana Tanjung 2" - the last film from the franchise and after that, the franchise was seemingly dead as there was no continuation to it.

But due to many fan requests, director Dato' Professor A Razak Mohaideen finally presented a new spinoff film from the franchise which focuses on another family but retains the same concept as the previous "Anak Mami" films.

Seventy percent of the film cast are made up of new actors and actress like Chik Pak Man Telo, Qi Razali, Elisya Sandha, Nur Risteena Munim, Ezzaty Abdullah, Amylia Nastasha, Azmir Cuit Raja, Maria Marida and Shikin Shuriani.

Meanwhile, the only returning cast are Sheila Mambo, Fasha Sandha dan Azhari Zain.

Praises to all the cast for their convincing and entertaining performance, and most importantly, the accurate Penang dialect as not all of them are pure Penangites, yet they managed to deliver their lines perfectly.

Like all the other films from the franchise, this film will also get you to laugh so hard with its local comedy flavour and all the slapstick jokes it delivers.

All the comedy aside, the film also instils the importance of family and delivers valuable lessons.

Look Out For

• Qi Razali cross-dresses as a woman wearing hijab.

Trivia

• The film is the seventh film from the "Anak Mami" franchise.
