Watch this if you liked: “My Little Pony” series

The Good, the Bad and the Mane Six:

• A clever movie perfect for all ages, with sharp dialogues and intelligent, mature jokes that will certainly be appreciated by all kids, Bronies and Pegasisters (fan names for male and female adult audiences of "My Little Pony") alike.

• The story follows a basic format - it is a hero's journey. Though the plot is somewhat predictable, the journey is a lot of fun as there are lots of laughs and ultimately, an important lesson that we can bring home.

• Although the movie is still in 2D animation style, it received an animation upgrade from the traditional Flash animation of the TV series to a fancier version that is engaging to the eyes.

• The new characters are also entertaining and fun to watch, but unfortunately their introductions are kind of rushed and there aren't a lot of backstory on them.

• Both the old and new voices did a splendid job at giving the characters the personalities, especially Emily Blunt who completely nailed her sexy but evil American accent.

Trivia:

• Liev Schreiber accepted his role as the Storm King due to having a lack of family-friendly roles in his career.
