On their first night of living in her late aunt's house, Pauline and her two daughters, Beth and Vera, are attacked by murderers who've intruded the house. She fights hard and saves her daughters. The incident leaves both daughters traumatised but it affects them differently. Beth grows up to be a renowned horror author and lives a happy life with her perfect family. The Good, the Bad and the Haunting:

• A somewhat corny slasher film featuring two women being subjected to all sorts of torture, both physically and mentally.

• The movie keeps its tenseness of the movie through its usage of gore. It is not excessive however, but still enough to deliver a good scare and tension to the audience. The gore is still horrid to look at which makes it all the more entertaining to watch.

• The story may be difficult to keep up at times due to the jump between timelines and realities. Each jump brings a surprise of its own when it happens and it never fails to shock.

• Although the movie has less gore, it seems obsessed with the idea of making young woman suffer. In this case, the leads of the story have to go through all sorts of disturbing actions, mainly the physical ones.
