Abandoned by her father at age one, Zharfa grows up into a stubborn and emotional girl. When her mother remarries, the Malaysian girl immediately dislikes her cunning new stepfather, causing her to often quarrel with him. Due to the quarrels, and her tendency to land in trouble, she ends up getting sent to study in a boarding school in neighbouring country, Indonesia.
