CO Movie Day: "Hail, Caesar!"

Cinema Online readers excited to watch "Hail, Caesar!".

17 Feb – Fans of the Coen brothers, or just Channing Tatum, had the exclusive chance of watching "Hail, Caesar!" two days earlier than everyone else before its official release in Malaysia.

Cinema Online readers who won the recent contest for the movie passes were treated to the movie yesterday at TGV 1 Utama.

When asked the reason for watching, most of the ladies (including Nazli Jalil and Kumudu Yapa, pictured above) excitedly replied with one name: "Channing Tatum!"

Mr. Tatum aside, the movie also features stars such as George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson, Josh Brolin, Tilda Swinton and more. In fact, the star-studded cast is also one of the reasons for watching, as said by reader Tay Cheng Young.

Meanwhile, fellow winners Mohamad Azmi Sarman and Andrew Dino Anak Najib thought based on the trailer, the movie quality seems good and is worth a watch.

However, for Timothy Lee and his plus one, they laughingly answered, "We didn't understand the trailer, that's why we want to watch the movie."

Timothy Lee is among some intrigued to watch "Hail, Caesar!" because they didn't get the trailer.

Ee Hock Chuan and wife are avid moviegoers who look forward to the movie.

Liang Voon Chiang also excited for the movie.

"Hail, Caesar!" follows the daily life of Eddie Mannix, a Hollywood "fixer" who has to keep actors' scandals out of the press, as he deals with the problems posed by Baird Whitlock (George Clooney), DeeAnna Moran (Scarlett Johansson), Burt Gurney (Channing Tatum), Hobie Doyle (Alden Ehrenreich) and gossip columnists Thora and Thessaly Thacker (both played by Tilda Swinton).

"Hail, Caesar!" opens in cinemas on Thursday, 18 February.
