30 Nov – The movie buff winners of Cinema Online's recent contest got a chance to watch the highly anticipated "Paddington 2" earlier than its official release date. The movie is released in nationwide cinemas today but winners got to watch it yesterday at GSC One Utama.
One of the winners, Logeswaran Ramasamy, said that he felt very lucky and grateful to have been picked as one of the winners as he has always been looking forward to watch the sequel.
"Apart from that, the family element is strong in this one, so I expect that it would be a lot better than the first film," he continued. Edwina Lim also expressed that she is attracted to watch the film after seeing the trailer which shows a lot of action sequences, even though she hasn't watched the first "Paddington".
Another winner Asyraf Nordin also shared the same thought. He expects that the new film will be even better judging by the trailer. Meanwhile, Ee Hock Chuan is a bit doubtful as he says most sequels fail to surpass their predecessors. "I hope that the sequel will be better because usually, when the first film is already great, it's hard for the sequel to top it. But for this movie, I hope that it is the other way around."
"Paddington 2" centres on a bear named Paddington who lives together with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens. One day, he spots a book in an antique shop owned by Mr Gruber, and plans to buy it as present for Aunt Lucy's 100th birthday. He does several part-time jobs to earn money to buy the book, but when the book suddenly gets stolen, it is up to Paddington and the Browns to capture the thief. Directed by Paul King, the movie hits nationwide cinemas starting today, 30 November 2017.
