2 Aug – Fans of the science-fiction genre were treated to the premiere screening of "The Osiris Child: Science Fiction Volume One" at TGV 1 Utama yesterday evening. Cinema Online readers who won their screening passes via our contest were able to catch the sci-fi adventure two days before it officially starts showing in local cinemas. Most of the winners were looking forward to the movie, given its genre, as evident by the answers when asked their reason for wanting to watch it. "I love sci-fi!" was winner Jeremy's answer, whose sentiment is echoed by many of the other winners.
Winner Chan Vui Kit, however, is anticipating the movie as it is a work of Australian director Shane Abbess, known for his previous sci-fi titles that include "Terminus" and "Infini". In "The Osiris Child", Kellan Lutz stars as Sy Lombrok, a drifter who teams up with Kane Sommerville (Daniel MacPherson) – a lieutenant who works for Exor, a company that terraforms planets for the people of Earth – to save Kane's daughter before Exor's plan to nuke their planet comes to fruition.
