As the pandemic still rages on, movie lovers are left with little to no options for good movies at the cinemas. So it makes perfectly good sense that most of us turn to our trusty VOD streaming platforms to get our escapism fix.

Thankfully, the month of November sees the arrival of some great new shows. We've compiled a list for you below, so you can start marking your calendar's for the 5 must-watch new VOD series this November 2020!

The Liberator (Netflix) - 11 Nov

Fans of war movies would not want to give this series a miss. Based on the book "The Liberator: One World War II Soldier's 500-Day Odyssey", the series is a mix of animation over live-action that follows a US military man that goes into the battlefield as he revisits some of the more important moments of WWII history. It is a journey into war like you've never seen before in this four-parter.

The Crown season 4 (Netflix) - 15 Nov

Can't get enough of the royals? Queen Elizabeth reign is continued in this series that has won critical acclaim wide and far. Oscar winner Olivia Colman returns as the Queen and so will Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, however the new additions to look forward to in season 4 is the arrival as Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher and the big introduction of Emma Corrin as Princess Diana. Look out for the royal wedding that started it all!

Industry (HBO) - 9 Nov

This 8-episode drama delves into the world of high-stakes finance through the eyes from an outsider, a woman, who will have to face a myriad of issues such as gender, race, class, and competition. With a cast comprising of mostly new faces the first episode is directed by "Girls" very own Lena Dunham. It's the ruthless world of finance that is sure to get your gears working hard!

His Dark Materials season 2 (HBO)- 16 Nov

This highly acclaimed fantasy series adapted from the novels of Philip Pullman. We see the return of Lyra (Dafne Keen), following the tragic death of her best friend Roger (Lewin Lloyd) at the hands of her father Lord Asriel (James McAvoy) in order to move between worlds. What will happen next to Lyra and her daemon? Find out this 16 November!

Alex Rider (Amazon) - November 13

The teenage M16 subdivision is explored through Alex Rider, a teenage boy from London, who is set to infiltrate a corrective academy for the ultra-rich. The 8-episode first season is described as being slick, clever, and action-packed for your escapism needs, and is said to be much better than 2006's "Stormbreaker" movie.
