We're drawing closer to the middle of August but the month still has plenty of horror film offerings up its sleeves for horror enthusiasts. There is an abundance of horror movies to pick from in Malaysian cinemas, some of them reruns of movies released prior to the enforcement of MCO, some are recent releases like "Roh", "Black Water: Abyss" and "The Jack in the Box".
This week, more horror titles are opening in local cinemas. Let's see what's opening this weekend as well as throughout the rest of the month.
Aku Tahu Kapan Kamu Mati

This Indonesian horror movie revolves around a high school girl who has an ability to see a sign that indicates when a person will die. As she tries her best to save the people around her from dying, she faces further problems when she now sees the sign on herself.
Sakral: Keramat

Another Indonesian horror, this one focused on a family terrorised by an evil spirit. The father discovers that it is related to one of their twin daughters who died five years ago, whose death the mother has never gotten over. Meanwhile, the surviving twin is now a strange and mysterious little girl.
The Clock: Spirits Awakening

A French-Khmer offering from Cambodia, which follows a girl who falls under the control of a spirit that possesses an old clock. The spirit is of an old lady who committed suicide in 1940 after listening to a song that has caused numerous other suicides.
Behind You
Release date: 20 August 2020
Two sisters are sent to live with their mysterious aunt whose house is filled with covered and hidden mirrors. Ignoring their aunt's warning, the youngest sister sneaks into the basement and unintentionally releases a malevolent spirit that now wreaks havoc in the house.

A couple moves from the hectic city to the quiet countryside to recuperate after suffering from a traumatic miscarriage. Instead of finding the peace they are hoping for, they discover that their house is plagued by strange and mysterious occurrences.
