"The Jungle Book" cast pose with their characters

Jon Favreau's much anticipated live-action take on "The Jungle Book", is set to be one of the year's biggest films from Walt Disney Studios.

Although there is another "Jungle Book" movie in the pipeline from Warner Bros set for 2017, looks like this version has jumped ahead as it is coming to our cinemas this 7 April!

Featuring a stellar voice-cast made up of Bill Murray, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong'o, Ben Kingsley, Scarlett Johansson, Christopher Walken and more, newcomer Neel Sethi leads as Mowgli, the adventurous human boy raised in the jungle by wolves.

Like the 1967 animated film of the same name (also by Disney), the story follows Mogwli's life in the jungle with his many animal companions where one day a fearsome Bengal tiger named Shere Khan arrives to threaten Mogwli and the only life he knows.

A bunch of enchanting photos were just released featuring the voice-cast posing with the live-action characters that they play. Although we wonder why Bill Murray as Baloo was not included in this photo shoot, we can't help to be awed by these photos anyway!

Christopher Walken is King Louie, the orangutan.
