18 Dec – After a few years of meticulous production and planning, Malaysia's first big-budget animated feature "Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula" finally secures a playdate on 12 February 2008. According to the movie's technical director Mohd. Safwan of Les Copaque Studios, the animation has now been edited from 108 minutes to 95 minutes after feedback from a preview with selected press members last August. The movie, which features the TV9 characters Upin and Ipin, is a full-length animation about a group of multi-racial school kids who discover a mysterious otherworldly creature that has been responsible for alleged hauntings in their village. "Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula" plays nationwide on 12 February 2008.
