25 Dec – Producer Raymond Wong announced that plans for the sequel to Donnie Yen's martial arts biopic "Ip Man" is already underway. Speaking at a special interview in Kowloon, Hong Kong, with Cinema Online last month, Wong said: "The story ought to continue from right where we left off. We'll have Ip Man migrating to Hong Kong and then continuing his wing chun legacy by accepting disciples, including the most famous one Bruce Lee, of course. A lot more will be seen of Bruce Lee this time." However, the identity of the actor is not known. Donnie Yen is likely to return as Grandmaster Ip Man.
Now on wide release in cinemas, "Ip Man" is about the legendary wing chun practitioner who lived through the Japanese occupation in China. He is known as the first martial arts master to teach wing chun openly to the masses, not to mention setting up a training system which spread across Hong Kong and later to the world. "Ip Man" was No.1 at the Malaysian box office last weekend. "Ip Man" is playing in cinemas now.
