10 Dec – The intended 1200-seater 7-screen cineplex at Batu Pahat Mall will first roll out 3 or 4 out of its 7 available halls on 11 December 2008, according Lotus Five Star Operations Manager Mr. Raaj today.

The new location on Jalan Kluang will open with three movies – "Cicak-Man 2: Planet Hitam", "The Day The Earth Stood Still" and "High School Musical 3: Senior Year".



Construction was underway when Cinema Online paid a visit to the Batu Pahat Mall outlet last weekend

He also mentions that previous plans to play the new Shah Rukh Khan movie "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" (opening this Friday, 12 December 2008) were not possible due to the expected late arrival of prints.

Similarly, the remaining six unopened halls at another outlet, Big Cinemas Brem Mall in Kepong, are also expected to roll soon. The outlet opened earlier in July 2008.
