25 Sep – The celebrated offbeat rom-com "(500) Days Of Summer" starring Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt will enjoy only a muted release in Malaysia - but bizarrely in more ways than one. Playing nationwide only at TGV Sunway and TGV KLCC two weeks after that, a memorable scene in the film will be heavily cut to omit the word "penis". In the scene, lovers Tom (Gordon-Levitt) and Summer (Zooey Deschanel) exchange a romantic interlude in a public park when she yells the word "penis" repeatedly and challenges him to do the same. The film chronicles the relationship between a carefree young woman who doesn't believe in love and a struggling greeting card writer described as a hopeless romantic, who fall for each other. When Tom is blindsided after his girlfriend Summer dumps him, he shifts back and forth through various periods of their 500 days together to try to figure out where things went wrong. "(500) Days Of Summer" will play at TGV Sunway from 1 October 2009 onwards and move to TGV KLCC two weeks after that.
