2 Dec – Advance sales for James Cameron's heavily marketed sci-fi "Avatar" has gone on sale at Platinum Movie Suites Cathay Damansara where eager fans can opt for a cocktail buffet evening on 16 December 2009, complete with movie tickets and a popcorn combo. Priced at RM65 per person, the limited tickets are the first to go on sale in Malaysia. Details are available at the box office and Cathay Cineplexes website. "Avatar" is the new 20th Century Fox 3-D blockbuster that aims to close 2009 with robust sales. Sam Worthington ("Terminator Salvation") plays a reluctant hero who embarks on a journey of redemption and discovery to a spectacular planet as heads a heroic battle to save the civilisation from powerful, Earth-based corporate forces.
