2 Jun – It was a birthday treat to remember when the newly turned 17-year-old by the name of Wafa, won the Hannah Montana 'Hoedown Throwdown' dance competition last evening at Movie Carnival, leaving the stage with a bag of goodies inclusive of a "Hannah Montana: The Movie" soundtrack and two Cinema Online preview tickets to watch the movie!
It was a time of fun and fitness as children twirled, jumped and grooved to the step-by-step dance video called 'Hoedown Throwdown.' The catchy tunes of "Pop it, lock it, polka-dot-it, countrify it, hip-hop it, put your hawk in the sky, move side to side, jump to the left, stick it and glide" was hard to avoid dancing to as kids watched the screen intently whilst trying to practice the moves before going on stage to compete for the grand prize. The winner of the competition and a self-proclaimed Hannah Montana fan gave out her all on the dance floor, even pulling out a few new moves of her own! She gladly commented, "I'm so happy that I've won! I can't wait to bring my best friend with me to go and watch the movie. I'm a close follower of the Hannah Montana TV series just because I love Miley Cyrus and the way she live her two separate lives. Someday, I want to be just like her and my celebrity name will be... Miley Cyrus!" It was then her two friends who also took part in the competition added, "Today's her birthday" and Wafa could only grin excitedly whilst clutching her bag of goodies. Other Hannah Montana activities at Movie Carnival, Sunway Pyramid include free Hannah Montana tattoo stickers and a Hannah Montana lookalike photo opportunity, where fans can dress up like her using the props provided and snap photos next to the Hannah Montana standee.
