17 Jul – Malaysia's hottest starlet at the moment Lisa Surihani was in Singapore earlier in the month to promote "Jangan Pandang Belakang Congkak", together with co-stars Mazlan Pet-Pet and Azlee from "Senario", not to mention Metrowealth Movies Production's head honcho David Teo.

Lisa Surihani: "I thought it was a full-on horror movie when I first signed up!"

Speaking at a press conference, she said: "I'm very happy that Malaysian movies are travelling, even if it means to Singapore only. This is a horror-comedy and I hope the audience in Singapore will enjoy it as much as those in Malaysia did."

The movie ended its six-week run in Malaysia last week with an estimated total gross of RM 6.3 million, a box office surprise that echoes previous greats from the production house like "Jangan Pandang Belakang" (2007) and "Congkak" (2008). It will now open in Singapore on 23 July 2009 on a limited release of seven prints.
