No stopping the Transformers

7 Jul – Nothing is standing in the way of "Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen" as it steamrolls over all other releases for the weekend just gone (July 2-5) in Singapore and Malaysia, en route to making box office history.

Although the box office figures are still being compiled for the region and not released to the press, worldwide collections for the Michael Bay sequel is fast approaching the US$ 600 million mark, according to online tracker Box Office Mojo.

The same website speculates that box office figures could reach US$ 800 million at the end of its run.

Last week's "Ice Age 3: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs" provided temporary diversion for regional audiences but the robot show still came out tops, while headlines across the entertainment world included news that lead actress Megan Fox may actually be a man.
