The Star Online reports that successful Malaysian filmmaker Yasmin Ahmad is "now on life support and in stable condition, believed to have suffered a stroke and was in a coma for a short while before doctors there successfully revived her". According to a female staff at Sri Pentas, Bandar Utama: "I met Yasmin at the lobby in the elevator just before she went for her presentation. I'm so devastated to learn about this. Our thoughts are with her." Facebook and Twitter updates for the past few hours have been about speculations on Yasmin's condition. Earlier it was rumoured that she was dead. Updates and comments by industry contacts all show support and prayers for her. The 51-year-old auteur is known for her part in the moving Petronas ads and also having directed acclaimed albeit controversial movies such as "Sepet". Her last movie was "Talentime".
