A scene from "The Day Off".

20 Oct – Singapore Radio Channel Y.E.S. 93.3FM's DJ Dennis Chew and comedian-emcee Chua En Lai will collaborate for the first time in upcoming horror comedy, "The Ghosts Must Be Crazy". Together with 'getai' (live stage performance during Hungry Ghosts Festival) artistes Wang Lei and John Cheng, they will put up their best comedy acts in one of the two stories, "The Day Off".

Directed by Boris Boo, "The Day Off" tells the story of Ah Nan (John Cheng) and Ah Lei (Wang Lei) who has to deal with a very strict Platoon Commander during their annual in-camp training. Eventually, they decide to cheat for MC (medical certificate) but the Commander does not buy their idea and chases them away. The Commander then launches a series of rigorous training, causing everyone to complain. As a form of revenge, Ah Nan and Ah Lei decide to play a trick on their Commander, but as they are about to start, a series of strange things begin to occur.

"Both Dennis and En Lai are popular and successful comedians in both Chinese and English markets in Singapore. It will create interest and curiosity when putting the duo together for the first time in a local hor-medy (horror and comedy). I hope that the on-screen chemistry between both Dennis and En Lai will lure everyone to catch them and their hilarious moments in the movie when it opens in cinemas," says Director Boris Boo.

"The Ghosts Must Be Crazy" also features another story titled "Ghost Bride" helmed by first-time director Mark Lee, who will also star in the movie alongside local comedian, Henry Thia.

"The Ghosts Must Be Crazy" opens in Singapore on 6 January 2011, while a release date is yet to be confirmed in Malaysia.
