Love/Hate Valentine's Day

Josh Corbett and Nia Vardalos reunite after "My Big Fat Greek Wedding".

17 Apr – Multitalented Nia Vardalos ("My Big Fat Greek Wedding") delivers another rom-com, "I Hate Valentine's Day" which recently had a preview screening at Cathay Cineplex e@Curve. Not only does she act, but she script writes and tries her hand at directing as well. "I Hate Valentines Day" marks her directorial debut, where she reunites with "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" co-star John Corbett, playing the role of Genevieve who only dates a person for five dates and when the romance is gone, move on.

Great news hit this actress-turned-filmmaker last year as the movie was chosen as The Los Angeles Greek Film Festival's world premiere. "The Los Angeles Greek Film Festival is becoming one of the pre-eminent showcases for filmmakers of Greek descent worldwide, and we are thrilled to be included as part of their line-up," said Vardalos.
After the preview, viewers were asked what they thought about the movie and how many stars would they give out of five.

Maurice Choong: "It was a funny movie and I enjoyed watching it. I also got to see the interesting methods of dating. It was good seeing both Nia and John as a couple again. 3 stars for making me laugh!"

Carrie-Ann Long: "I usually don't watch chick flicks as my boyfriend and I are into action movies but even my boyfriend had a good time watching it! The actors have on screen chemistry and they were really goofy and funny. This movie was based a lot on their acting skills. 3 stars."

Melissa Woo: "It was a pretty good movie. Overall, it was funny and it had a good plot. They make a very good couple on screen so this movie deserves 4 stars."

"I Hate Valentines Day" is now playing in cinemas!
