"I Love Hong Kong" commencement ceremony.
3 Dec – "I Love Hong Kong", scheduled for 2011 Lunar New Year release has recently commenced filming in Hong Kong.
Directed by Chung Shu Kai and co-directed and produced by Eric Tsang, the comedy is a follow-up of "72 Tenants Of Prosperity" which opened earlier this year.
Among the casts in this comedy are Eric Tsang, Sandra Ng, Tony Leung Karfai, Aarif Lee, Bosco Wong, Chan Fala and Wong Cho Lam, together with cameo performances from many popular artistes.
In "I Love Hong Kong", Ng Shun returns with his wife Shun-Soh and three children to celebrate Ng Kin's 60th birthday. Unknown to Kin, his son has gotten into trouble and is plotting for him to take the rap.
At the same time, Long, a swindler who conned money from neighbours 30 years ago is now a property tycoon and promises to pay each of them HK$100 million as compensation as long as a representative of each household returns to the estate on Lunar New Year's Eve.
A mad rush ensues as Shun and his family tries to gather the old neighbours to avoid missing the bonanza.
"I Love Hong Kong" is slated to release on 2 February 2011 in Singapore, distributed by Clover Films and Shaw Organisation.
Meanwhile, the comedy is scheduled to screen in Malaysia on 3 February 2011 by Golden Screen Cinemas.
