According to Sharad Sharan, "Apart from Singapore, we are also in talks to screen this movie in Indonesia as the distributors there have expressed keen interest. In the meantime, fans would be glad to know that we're working on the sequel 'Katrina', which will most probably start shooting at the end of this year. Plans for the third instalment 'Kasyah' will also be in the works." On top of that, the director has just started on a new film project entitled "Ombak Rindu", a film that's also based on a bestselling novel written by Fauziah Ashari, in which stars Maya Karin, Aaron Aziz and Lisa Surihani.
