22 Feb – Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio's creepy crime thriller "Shutter Island" tops the United States box office over the weekend with an estimated US$40.2 million, breaking hearts for "Valentine's Day" as it slipped to No.2. Martin Scorsese's fourth pairing with Leonardo DiCaprio casts the actor as a US marshal who's summoned to a remote island to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island's fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane. The film is set to screen in Singapore on 25 February and in Malaysia on 15 April 2010. Meanwhile, "Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief" outgrosses all movies at the Singapore box office for second week running. The Greek myth fantasy film successfully stayed ahead of the recently opened 1940s horror classic remake "Wolfman" in Singapore, raking SG$2.2 million according to distributor Twentieth Century Fox. Also, Eric Tsang's hot-selling Canto comedy "72 Tenants Of Prosperity" is the top movie in Malaysia as it climbed up a notch to No.1 in its second week, dethroning "Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief". Meanwhile two more CNY movies, Miriam Yeung's "Here Comes Fortune" (previously titled "God Of Wealth") and Hong Kong's version of "Love Actually", "Hot Summer Days", are yet to be screened nationwide this 25 February 2010.
